IN2 builds CIMISNet, a new public service of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure
A new public service CIMISNet was introduced at the Conference on a single maritime interface and digitization in maritime traffic organized by MSTI.
CIMISNet is a complete service of automated data exchange and administrative formalities that take place while ships call at and leave Croatian ports. This e-service will also significantly improve the exchange of data between the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of the Interior, the Customs Administration, the relevant departments of the Ministry of Health and other state administrative bodies in order to raise efficiency and to keep the waiting in administrative procedures to a minimum.
It is part of a public service digitization project whose core system is CIMIS, a single maritime interface in which the principles of the so-called "single window" system are being implemented, and is promoted by the European Union.
It is important to emphasize that the establishment of a single maritime interface is the responsibility of the Republic of Croatia, since all EU member states' interfaces will ultimately exchange information through EMSA's central system, which will further accelerate and simplify maritime operations.
The Ministry will release CIMISNet during 2018.
