SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

IN2 Group's main line of business is the development of information systems solving different business problems, both by implementing global vendor's standard solutions and integrating independent applications into a comprehensive system as well as by developing special solutions according to the users' specifications. Solutions required by users (making up the majority of IN2 Group's references) are geo-information (GIS) solutions, biometric solutions, advanced analytic solutions, and business intelligence solutions. IN2 Group also produces its own solutions and applications.

SOLUTIONS REQUIRED BY USERS

Solutions required by users make up the majority of IN2 Group's references. They are developed according to users' specifications and the particularities of the business processes they support. IN2 Group has developed a number of solutions for particular users, implemented its solutions tailored to the business processes of users in different market segments, and implemented standard partner solutions according to the users' particular requirements. There are expert teams formed for each project consisting of people from various IT fields who have the specific knowledge needed for the realisation of the tasks.

GIS SOLUTIONS

Geo-information systems are the area where IN2 Group distinguished itself in a number of projects carried out both in Croatia and in the neighbouring countries of the region.

In development of GIS applications and solutions we mostly use proven Open Source tools and products since they offer the highest level of adaptability and development of custom made solutions. All GIS solutions are developed in accordance with OGC standards and based on OGC-compatible technology:

  • Kosmo/Open JUMP framework for desktop GIS
  • GeoServer
  • GeoWebCache
  • GeoNetwork
  • OpenLayers and Leaflet

IGEA has also experience in using well-known commercial GIS tools (ESRI, Intergraph, AutoCAD Map 3D, MapInfo etc.).

We promote solutions which use all possible data from other sources through appropriate services (WMS, WFS, WMTS, etc.) along with the built-in data, thus emphasizing interoperability with other systems and institutions. Likewise, in accordance with the INSPIRE initiative, data can be offered for use to others through various services.

Some of our reference GIS projects are: e-Cadastre, SGA address register, SGA Geoportal, National Geoportal (INSPIRE), Geoportal and Address Register for the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, Cadastre data quality control, Spatial road database for Croatian Motorways, Spatial database of railway crossings for Croatian Railway Infrastructure, GIS portal for the Institute for spatial planning of Istria County, ENVI portal, Bioportal and Protected areas management system, SavaGIS, SavaHIS, GeoSTAT, AdriaFireGIS, Croatian Integrated Maritime Information System GIS module, Istria Country Institute for Spatial Planning GIS portal, Animal Disease Notification and Outbreak Management System for the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and many others.

IGEA Ltd. is the IN2 Group GIS-competence centre that handles spatial data analysis and the design and development of geo-information systems.

BIOMETRIC SOLUTIONS

IN2 Group has been developing information systems for acquiring, storing, and processing biometric data for seven years. The work includes a number of projects in several countries of the region. Beside the project for the Ministry of Interior of Croatia, IN2 Group delivered and installed biometric equipment for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina Border Police, and Ministry of Interior of Montenegro.

The first biometric project was realized during development of the ePassport project. The main goal was to replace the existing application for receiving and managing passport application forms with a new application making it possible to acquire biometric data and integrate it with other applications requiring information about passports and travel documents. For the ePassport project, IN2 Group partnered with Cross Match, a global vendor of systems for the management of biometric identity.

The work with biometric equipment continued with the NBMIS – State Border Control project. The aim was to raise the level of security and supervision in the control of passengers, travel documents, vehicles, and goods on the borders with Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The NBMIS project resulted in a turnkey solution, including the installation of hardware and software, integration with the existing systems, testing, and user training. IN2 was also charged with the delivery of mobile systems, biometric equipment, the system for license plate recognition, and the realization of the central information system with a number of different software solutions. Desktop and mobile applications were implemented as well as portable inspection terminals for control on ships and trains.

ADVANCED ANALYTICS

Solutions based upon advanced analytics technologies and scientific processing of data, IN2 Group offers through its daughter company, IN2data, consisting of an interdisciplinary team of scientists with relevant academic and industrial business knowledge.

The company specialised in delivering advanced analytic solutions including predictive modelling and big data analytics in the field of (social) network analysis (SNA), segmentation models, cross-sell & up-sell models, fraud detection, churn prediction, user scoring, text mining, risk management (early warning systems), and social CRM.

The work ranges from consulting services and strategy development (with concomitant training and expert leadership) to PoC and pilot projects to comprehensive production systems supporting data business processes. The company offers comprehensive analytic solutions answering the questions like "what," "why," "what if," "if-then," and "why not." The technologies, tools, and platforms used by IN2data are IBM i2, IBM SPSS, Java, Microsoft, Oracle, Python, R, Tableau, and so on.

Advanced analytic solutions are utilised in telecommunications, finance, and retail as well as in the public sector and health care – the areas where the IN2 expert team has a significant experience acquired in a number of successful projects. In selecting technology, IN2data does not favour a particular supplier but selects tools that will make possible to deliver an innovative solution, adapted to the user's requirements, with clear and measurable results.
